REESA RENEE
Reesa Renee is a singer/lyricist & vibe curator based out of the Washington Metropolitan Area. Her style is best described as a unique blend of neo-soul & funk mixed with classic percussive undertones of Go-Go, native to the District of Columbia.
Reesa Renee rocked the music industry with her iconic Go-Go record 'Got Me Loose,’ making her the 2nd artist in 3 years to win the esteemed Night at the Apollo for performing an original song. This record would go on to catapult her career forward and played an integral role assisting her debut album 'Reelease,’ which charted in the Top 20 on iTunes in 2012.
Renee has received countless other musical accolades between the release of her charting debut album to now; including the success of her sophomore project 'Lover's Rock,’ which was nominated for 4 Washington Area Music Awards (The Wammies), and led to a 4-city tour with Atlanta rapper T.I. Her one-of-a-kind performances – including a record-setting attendance show with Erykah Badu and D.C.’s iconic Rare Essence at SXSW – have led to headlining engagements at The Fillmore Silver Spring, The House of Blues in Los Angeles, The Howard Theater in Washington, DC, and The Gladstone in Toronto where she's left an indelible impression on attendees.
After a season of reflecting and rejuvenating, Reesa Renee is now embarking on the next chapter of her journey. Her infectious and timeless music has, and continues to speak, to the limitless potential of her talent and magic as she contributes to the beautiful realization of Black music's limitless future.
